We are pleased to announce another win, as our work with the RFU on The Red Roses & The World Cup has won Best Use of Data at the Business and Tech Awards!

Designed to celebrate the businesses making cutting-edge innovations in tech, the UK Business and Tech Awards is a highly renowned ceremony in the tech industry. With so many businesses showcasing impressive technological advances this year, we are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious award!

The Red Roses & The World Cup campaign was a particularly noteworthy one for us at Fifty due to its impact and large scale success. Working alongside the Rugby Football Union (RFU), we were tasked with driving awareness and engagement in the Red Roses which was then converted to ticket sales for Twickenham, Newcastle, and Northampton. To achieve this, we had to uncover who the current and potential future fans of women’s rugby were in comparison to the men’s. By utilising our groundbreaking technology, we conducted an analysis and developed a complex map of who the current and potential fans may be, segmenting them into key tribes each with unique passions and interests. Armed with this in-depth knowledge, we were then able to activate impactful digital marketing campaigns that delivered highly effective messages to the correct target audiences at the right time. The result was a very successful campaign that led to 29,000 clicks, record-breaking attendance on both fixtures, and a 380% return on investment.

Thank you to the UK Business and Tech Awards for recognizing our hard work! This win was particularly special, as increasing the reach and investment in women’s sport is an important topic for the company and a common source of passion. We have conducted a lot of in-depth research and written a variety of reports into the field. Check out our full case study on the Red Roses & The World Cup to learn more about our campaign and its far-reaching impact.
