Georgia Tourism

The Challenge

In essence, Fifty’s brief from Explore Georgia was to help drive tourism within the state. With the national lockdown coming to an end and domestic travel restrictions being lifted across the country, the client sought to target US citizens - known domestic travellers - and accurately deliver messaging to encourage them to choose the state of Georgia as their next holiday destination.

The Solution

In terms of targeting, Fifty’s focus was primarily directed towards audiences located in Georgia itself and those within driving distance in the surrounding states, including Jacksonville and South Carolina. Having initially kicked off with a one month tester campaign, due to the high success rate Fifty then went on to run the campaign from March to June.

The Results

With the intention of reaching audiences in the midst of planning their summer vacations, Fifty targeted two key segments: Intrepid Travellers and Family Travellers. The Intrepid Travellers segment in particular delivered a benchmark-beating 0.1% CTR, which falls well above the industry average. Across the four months, Fifty’s campaign delivered 1.4M total impressions and generated $6.2k net per month. Following the success of this initial campaign, Explore Georgia has now become a regular client who continues to rebook with Fifty.
