When did you start?

I started in July 2022, so I’ve been at Fifty for close to a year and a half.

What is your role at Fifty and how has it evolved?

I’m a Finance Assistant. When I first started, I was very new to working in the marketing and media industry and I was also new to working in the field of management accountancy, so my role has evolved quite a lot. Over the past year, I’ve built up to managing ledgers, having a greater role in the preparation of management accounts, and dealing with more complicated client queries. I’ve also gained more responsibility by implementing new processes across the different teams. Right now I’m going through the journey of becoming a qualified accountant.

What did you do before joining Fifty?

Previously I worked as an audit trainee.

What has your biggest success been at Fifty?

That’s a hard question – I’ve learnt so many new things and have experienced many successes while I’ve been at Fifty. Within the finance team, I’d say that my biggest success has been the opportunity to gain more responsibility for a larger portion of the management accounts and also being able to deal with more complicated projects. From a company perspective, my biggest success has been to get a better overall understanding of the media industry as a whole.

What are your passions outside of work?

Tennis! I’ve been playing tennis for a large part of my life and I’ve been playing competitively for my club for about a year. Another big passion of mine is football, both playing and watching. Besides sports, I’m also a really big fan of comic books and love watching anything sci-fi.

What’s next? Is there anything you’re looking forward to in particular?

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Fifty continues to grow in the future. Since I joined, I’ve seen the company work on some really interesting projects and I’m very excited to see what else we’ll be doing with clients in the future. As for myself, I’m looking forward to working on further streamlining the processes currently in place.
